你吃了吗?Kumain ka na ba?Have you eaten yet?

β€” Mom & Dad

We’ve heard this phrase over and over growing up. It was the quiet way that both our Chinese and Filipino American parents expressed their care, and how love was said without needing to be explained.

Since moving back to New England from San Francisco in 2022, to a new home on the border of where we grew up in Vermont and in New Hampshire, we found Wababaland in the Upper Valley.

Through food, we create experiences that feel special, unique, and meant to be shared. Whether it’s a celebration or a collaboration, you can visit Wababaland, where everyone leaves well-fed and well-loved.

So, are you ready to eat?

just a dang good cookie

my gold-standard cookie. this cookie is the epitome of wababaland: every detail from ingredient to method to bake crafted to make everyday desserts special. it’s exactly what you want when you’re craving a chocolate chip cookie: toffee aromas from browned butter, chocolate chunks of all shapes and sizes, and a generous sprinkle of maldon flaky salt so every bite is complete and satisfying.

west meets east cookie box

a box made for sharing. half a dozen lychee shortbreads and half a dozen passionfruit flower shortbreads. the lychee shortbreads are stamped with a mooncake mold: delicate, floral, barely sweet. the passionfruit flowers are hand-shaped, inspired by chinese tea pastries, and filled with a bright and tropical ganache.

condesa tomodachi cake

named for la condesa, the mexico city neighborhood where a slice of tres leches caught my eye and my taste buds, and tomodachi, the japanese word for friend. an airy chiffon sponge, lightly sweetened with lychee syrup, and soaked in three milks. bright, delicate, and best shared on a warm afternoon.

asian palmer

my take on the arnold palmer. the lychee lemonade. fresh lychee and lemon juice, finished with dried rose petals. sweet, tart, and floral. the drink you want in your hand on a summer afternoon.
